After reshooting the ending, this damn movie is finally coming out. Gangster Squad has had a pretty difficult path to release – after the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shootings, the studio sent it back for edits to remove a similar scene for fear of offending anybody. The ending also got a redo, for as yet unknown reasons. Judging by this new trailer, though, we’re still in for a gritty and uncompromising take on the Mafia’s move into Los Angeles in the 1940s. Gangster Squad opens January 11, 2013.
